In the chaos that is the year 2020, the AFL Grand Final will not be taking place this September as usual. According to the Business Victoria website the public holiday is currently listed as TBD with a footnote stating that the holiday will be the Friday before the Grand Final once the game date is confirmed. The AFL are currently aiming for October 24 as the date for the big game, however that is dependent on no further delays to the season. It is also possible that the game will be scheduled for November 1st which would see it clash with the Melbourne Cup weekend (more info on that here).
Given that the date is still undetermined but could potentially clash with the Melbourne Cup weekend, we have decided to suspend taking any new bookings for the Grand Final until we can confirm the date. We are already fully booked for the Melbourne Cup weekend, and while our current intention is to move all existing Grand Final bookings to the new date once it has been announced, a clash with the Cup weekend would make this impossible. We are registering expressions of interest for Grand Final weekend should it not clash, and if you would like to join that list, email the details of your group to admin@montana-on-the-macalister.com.au and we will contact you once the date has been set.
