This is our third stay at Montana. We love the location (and that you switch off as it's out of mobile range!), the river (floating down the horseshoe bend is so relaxing) and the rules that ensure respect to all campers. There is no camp kitchen, which isn't a problem,  but good to know in your planning (we collect hot water to wash up at camp from the laundry).

We just recently camped here as a group for the first  time. After going to many sites in the past, this is by far the best place we have ever stayed at. We stayed at Montana for two nights on the way up to Dargo and two nights on the way back to Melbourne to break up the trip for our old girls (van & dog) and very glad we did! We stayed at a Powered site on the way up, but after a walk around the beautiful park, we requested to change to an Unpowered site for the way back, with a view to the river. Fiona is so sweet and was very happy to allocate us the site we had our hearts set on. We thankfully stayed before the Christmas crowds, so had one whole section to ourselves which was just a dream. The sites are lovely and large, so I can see why Montana get booked out over the busy times as it wouldn’t feel overcrowded because of the spaces. A magical place. Our city dog even got to sit and watch the kangaroos one evening which was lots of fun! Dave was very sweet to talk to and you can see how much they both love the place. Brilliant location, beautiful site, clean amenities and the managers Dave and Fiona were just delightful.

If you are after a quiet stay that is respectful, clean and dog friendly, i would recommend here.

The surrounds are just so relaxing, the communal fire pit brings everyone together.

Thank you Dave & Fiona, keep up the great work in assuring we all have a great and peaceful stay.

Highly recommend this beautiful camp ground. One of the nicest in all of Australia. Very clean facilities, super spacious lots, amazing river and scenery, and very relaxing atmosphere for a getaway. What can I say other than if I could give this beautiful place 10 stars I would!!!
Just spent 4 days at Montana,the place is ammuclate the views are incredible but most of all Dave was amazing !!!!
His knowledge of the area was incredible and his sense of humour hilarious 😂
Please do your self a favour and stay at  Montana!
